Quick Tips for selling Avon Online!

1. TRACK YOUR PERFORMANCE--

My favorite website tracker to use is Statcounter. It's free and super easy to be able to track the visitors who view your website. Google Analytics is also another great way to view your performance. Make sure you are taking notice of what brings in more traffic compared to what isn't. Change your tactics if you are not receiving the type of results you are looking for.

2.  COLLECT CONTACT INFORMATION-- 

If you are doing events or out and about talking to people the best way is to either leave a sticky note on top of the brochure so you can jot down their information, or use a survey card that people can fill out. I always hold free raffles that people can do to collect contact information. I might be raffling off like a $20-$25 gift bundle or something. I also mention that I mail out my brochures and ask if they would like to receive an Avon brochure every month. Online marketing I may ask for their e-mail address so that they can receive the notifications Avon sends out. These notifications are ONLY available online so it gives them an incentive to shop online.

3. MAKE SURE YOU ARE ENROLLED IN THE AUTOMATED E-MAIL PROGRAM--


Use both options for both campaign and promotional e-mails so that your customers are continually receiving reminders to shop with you. Avon does send out a lot of e-mails, but when you register online with say Petsmart, they also send out at least 1-2 e-mails a day. Customers always have the option to opt out of  the e-mail program. Make sure your webpage is featuring something regarding selling, and/or shopping online. (See my blog post about posting your Avon brochure on your webpage).

4. LABEL YOUR BROCHURES WITH YOUR WEB ADDRESS INFO--


When you distribute an Avon catalog, consider promoting yourself in 3 ways. 1) Offer to have customers shop with you online. Refer them to the WELCOME code which include 20% off a $50 order when they shop with you. PLUS free shipping on $40 orders. 2) Offer to have them buy from you in person if they are local and save on shipping fees, 3) Recruit or ask if they would be interested in earning extra money through the Avon opportunity. Include contact info, your website URL, and maybe include a QR code that can be scanned directing people to your website.

5. KEEP A FRESH LOOK GOING WITH YOUR AVON E-STORE--


You always want to be constantly updating your e-store. It brings traffic and draws attention to customers who already shop online with you. Ensure your website is connected to all your social media accounts as well as your blog posts. This way people can stay up to date with whats going on with you and your business.

6. BLOG....BLOG....BLOG! --


If you aren't sure how to blog or exactly what it is. Pretty much it is like your own online journal, but it helps increase web traffic to you, your business, and of course your website. Your articles can range from anything to recruiting, product information, campaign information, or selling tips. Use your imagination! Think of something that YOU as a new rep or new customer might find appealing and write about it! Try to be consistent with blog posts. Start off with blogging 2-3 times a week. My recent practice is 1 new blog post a day! See how much traffic this gets you, and also how many new team members you acquire!

7.  Take advantage of Social Media! --


Use the social media center on youravon.com to promote new posts onto your accounts like Twitter, Pinterest, Facebook, and so forth. Also consider a social media management application like HootSuite or Buffer. These automate postings for you so that you are able to focus more on your business and building your sales and team. 8. MAIL AVON CATALOGS TO ECUSTOMERS--


If you are looking into getting your books out without having to drive long distances or spending tons of money at the post office, consider using Campaign Mailer or Consultant Depot. These both provide mailing services to representatives. Make sure you have consistent online sales so that you can mail out books more often to customers.

9.  USE RETAILMENOT FOR AVON SHIPPING/COUPON CODES--


Coupon codes are excellent for giving discounts to customers. A few places to get codes customers can use are RetailMeNot for coupon codes and Ebates so that customers can get cash back on their purchase.  Blog about a new coupon code! Let customers know whats going on :) Also enroll yourself as a customer on your website so that you receive codes e-mailed to you that you can use to promote on your blog.  Share codes on your social media sites as well. Get the information out there as much as possible!

10. PRACTICE SCHEDULING YOUR ONLINE TIME MANAGEMENT


No one wants to spend hours upon hours on the computer all day hoping for results and constantly promoting. As a successful Avon representative you want to be able to do both in person and online sales. SO as such, schedule time throughout each day to focus on a specific online activity you are going to do to promote your business. Set a maximum time you will work on it, and then go off and take a break to come back to it or work on something else. Patience, Persistence, and Passion are the keys to success. So if you have all three of those, and work accordingly each day, you will see the fruits of your labor grow!

Building a successful Avon business in 15 easy steps!

Not all of us come from a business background, but that is the great thing about Avon.  All you have to do is become knowledgeable about the basics and continue to educate yourself to be the best Avon representative you can be.  Remember, what you put into your Avon business is what you will get out of it.  So here is a guideline of steps to help you be as successful as you can be and teach your team to do the same.  Believe it and you can achieve it, set a plan of action!!
 1) Basic-Always submit an order.  Being a part of our team there is no such thing as a ?no order?.  You all should be ordering at least your brochures or you have no business to work from.

2) Basic-Always pay your bill before your next order is due.  If this is a problem, collect the money first. Do not use Avon $ to pay for personal bills until Avon bill has been paid.  With Avon, your credit is a privilege and not paying is stealing.  You may use a debit or credit card by going to www.youravon.com or 513-551-2866. 

3) Basic-If you fall behind in any fashion, call your upline, manager or myself and let us know so they can help you get back on track!  We care!  Let's take care of things before they get worse.

4) Try as hard as possible to get a separate checking account.  No professional business runs on cash only, and this really helps when you need to pay Avon ASAP.  Unfortunately, we cannot take your money, and pay your account for you.  All cards, checks need to be in your name.

5) Don?t have internet connection?  Go to the library, internet cafĂ© or family member to do your orders and get the latest information.  The information available via internet is invaluable. 

6) To follow that, on www.youravon.com there are online trainings that teach you all about the basics of running your Avon business!  If you complete these training sessions you can print out your own completion certificate!  This is essential, do it today! Training Tab then Pathways. Be sure to attend the FREE WEBINARS and Register for them at the Pathways tab.
  
7) Communication is vital.  Whether it is you trying to reach your upline or your upline trying to make contact with you, please return calls, e-mails, or texts as soon as possible, this suggestion goes for calling your customers too!

8) Stick to your commitments.  If you have to change your schedule, give enough notice for your upline, downline, or customer.  This is common courtesy.

9) Don?t wait for your upline to ask you to do a party, tailgate, beauty bash, etc.  Take initiative and take the lead!  Leave fear at the door!  Walk out there confident in yourself and your business!  You can do it!
 There is a leader inside all of you! 

10) Discouraged?  Don?t give up!  Quitters don't win.  Do your part to motivate yourself and read motivational materials, view your trainings atwww.youravon.com. Exercise, do the power of 3, take a walk, organize your work- space.  Do something!  Doing nothing will keep things the same.

11) Time management.  This one is huge.  Got kids?  Involved in clubs?  Coach your child?s team?  Work a full-time job?  Did you know that the most successful Avon reps do all the above and/or more?  Always be ready to share the opportunity at all times, and the more you are involved, the more people you meet!  Let Avon become a natural extension of yourself.  Give your testimony, be confident, and be excited!  It?s the easiest way!

12) Use your tools! View online training videos & beauty boosts. Also if you have  the rich and famous or any  other training DVDs  don?t let them sit there and gather dust.  Share with your team.  Share with a prospective representative.   If you have the Rich and Famous DVD you have, put your name on it, share it and follow up with the next 2 days!  Watch it speak volumes for you. 
  
13) Work your business as if you spent $50,000 to start you business and not less than $20 on your appointment kit!  If you take this seriously, you will work hard, and stay focused.  If you spent 50K you wouldn?t let any of the little things get to you, because you have invested time and lots of $.  Stay focused on the bigger picture!!  Nobody who is rich said it was easy. 

14) Take control and responsibility for your success.  Success, money, fame, all of that is not going to fall into your lap.  I can?t force you to do anything, I can only advise you.  Take control of your time.  Don?t let life/circumstance tell you what you do with your time.  You take control of your time.  All of us have the same amount of time in the day.  It is what you decide to do with it.

15) Stay focused, work hard, take it day by day, and watch the time fly and then you will see your dreams come true and you will say it was all worth it!!

How to post your Avon brochure on your Avon website

How to Post the Avon Catalog on your Website

How do you post the current Avon catalog on your website? This is probably the most frequent question I get asked from Avon Representatives on how to sell Avon online. Here are step-by-step instructions on how to post Avon Campaign 3 2015 on your website.
1. Log into yourAvon.com. Tip: When making changes to your Avon website, you may want to use Internet Explorer. YourAvon.com seems to be most compatible with Internet Explorer. Click on each image below to enlarge.


2. Click on the Web Office tab on the main toolbar (third tab from the left).


 





3. Under eStore, click on edit eStore.












4. Click on the pencil icon (top right) in the main box (largest frame on the top left).











5. Choose the option for Personal Message to display in the main window.



















6. Select the edit source 
option on the top right side of the toolbar – the button that looks like this: </>.














7. Copy the data in the box below by highlighting all of it with your mouse – right click and select copy.

8. Paste the data you copied from the text box above by placing your cursor in the html box in your eStore then right clicking and selecting Paste.














9. The next step is to edit the account number after repid= where I have highlighted in blue. Replace my repid number with yours. Your repid number is your Avon account number. This will allow your customers to click on the front of the brochure cover to shop the online brochure on your Avon website.









10. The final step is to click on the edit source button again </>. Edit the text that I put in as sample text, give your screen a label name, and click save.

Use Social Media to Build your Avon business!

Social media is a fabulous tool to help build your Avon business online. There are several social media sites I use to build my business. Below are a few:

  • Google+
  • Facebook
  • YouTube
  • Pinterest
  • Twitter
  • LinkedIn
  • Tumblr
Now if you are truly serious about building your online business you want to be able to do posts for all your social media sites at least once a day. You can do different things related to sales, recruiting for your team, or both.

Here are some ideas to consider for posting

  • >>Sales Coupon Codes: These coupon codes can include Free shipping codes, or 60% off beauty products, etc. 
  • >>How to Videos: These are great because you aren't consistently posting things that say "JOIN MY TEAM!" or "BUY FROM ME" instead you are giving tips for how to apply foundation, use a new nail polish, or the cat-eye technique. 

  • >>Tips for preparing books for tossing, making beauty baskets, or preparing bombitas
  • >>Recruiting. Talk about the benefits of Avon, what to expect when they join, and what made YOU decide to join Avon?
  • >>Favorite product postings. Ask Customers or your Audience what they use on their face on a daily basis. Then if they use something other then Avon, have them compare an Avon product from their product, maybe give them a 2 week trial and if they like the product they can purchase it? Or if they own an Avon product, what do they like about it...would they recommend it to others?
  • >>Talk about you! Mention things about you that would keep your audience interested as well. You don't want to be ALL Avon ALL the time. But it does help when you talk about a few moments in your life as well
  • >>Facebook groups and Google+ communities help a lot. Consider joining groups to post in! 

If you are consistent with this, you will see the fruits of your labor, you just have to keep at it!

How to get more Avon Customers!

How to get more Avon Customers.

So I know a lot of people ask consistently how to get more Avon customers both online and in person. Well I can help you with that! There are several different ways to reach out to others!

1) Go to local businesses and ask if you can leave a few books behind. These could be places like nail salons, hair salons, doctors offices, I have even left mine at the UPS store. Anywhere that has a waiting area is a good place to leave a book! 

2) Scout out other places! You may want to consider stopping into gas stations, maybe even leave one with the hotel clerks or cashiers at grocery stores. Just say something like, "I love how great you are with customers and I wanted to leave this here with you." I haven't hardly ever had anyone say no....BUT if you do get that dreaded "N" word...move on! Don't take NO personally....if you rely on NO then all you are doing is setting yourself up for failure. Don't think, "Oh that lady said No, this one may too...I don't think I will leave one with her, she might get mad.." DON'T OVER THINK IT! YOU are your worst enemy! Get past yourself and your fears and you will be able to make it in this business!

3) Tailgating!!! During decent weather times, sometimes tailgating is a good way to get out there and work your business. You can set up a table in preferrably an empty lot somewhere, maybe leave a few books out, and bring someone with you! Go out with your team members or fellow representatives and build your business together! It is a whole lot more fun and a great way to interact with people. It has helped me get over my "shyness" of talking to others. Remember...practice makes PERFECT!

4) Tossing!! What's that? Its where you take your brochures, preferrably your old ones you haven't used, bag them up in a clear literature bag, and then toss them in driveways in neighborhoods. Never put a brochure in the mailbox as that is a federal offense, but if you put them in the driveway it is kind of like tossing a newspaper. Usually I put a tag on mine that says: "SAMPLE BROCHURE< CALL OR TEXT FOR CURRENT PRICING OR SHOP ONLINE AT www.youravon.com/caroline089" Don't let the "NO SOLICITING" thing scare you. If someone calls you up and complain, offer an apology, tell them you will no longer toss in the neighborhood. Some people can be that way sometimes....but remember, you are just working your business. Don't let nasty mean people get the better of you! You are in this to succeed!

5) Events! Events are a fantastic way to work your business. What I have done is partnered with local reps and we all pitched in to put up a table. We would talk about the Avon opportunity as well as sell some of our inventory (Which isn't required to have by the way). We had a decent turnaround and I had gotten a lot of leads and even 2 sign ups! So if you are ever deciding to do an event, talk with other reps or your team and see if you all can pitch in for a table or to work together to build your business. Make it fun! Have raffle drawings or a spinning wheel where people can win prizes. Don't forget to have them fill out a contact sheet with their information so you can follow up with them later!!

6) Market your business online! Tell all of your friends, family, co workers, neighbors, that you are an Avon representative on Facebook, Twitter, and Pinterest! Don't consistently market every hour on the hour, but maybe post something once a day that is engaging and fun for people. Show them the upcoming products, ask what their favorite products are, maybe advertise the opportunity with "Who wants some extra Christmas cash??" Whatever you decide make it yours and then build it up! Facebook groups help a lot too!

7) Blog, Blog Blog!! Believe it or not, people do read those....like you are now! And when you blog its like you are offering facts and opinions for people to make their own personal insight on. Blogging allows you to discuss your Avon business to its full potential!

8) Offer a free gift or a discount for referrals! When you go to deliver your orders, leave them with a small gift (Like a 0.99 hand cream or body lotion) or a 10-15% discount for every customer they refer to you who places XXX amount of orders. I have done that before and it has worked out to where a lady I knew referred her sister, aunt, and grandmother to me!

9) FOLLOW UP!!!! Yes...the big "F" word! You have to get contact information from your customers to let them know when your orders go in. When you go to a store to check out, don't they usually ask for your phone number and e-mail address? That is how they keep you up to date on discounts and promotions right? Avon is the same way, and the business aspect is the same way. E-mail, text, or call your customers and say "Hey, I am placing my Avon order right now and was wondering if you had a chance to look at the latest brochure? Did you find something you might be interested in getting?" Always ask an open ended question to engage your customers in conversation. Following up is NOT annoying your customers, it is GOOD customer service and many times I have called and customers have been like, "OH! I am so glad you called, there was something I wanted to order this time! Let me grab the book real quick!" 

10) WEAR SOMETHING THAT SAYS AVON! Be a walking billboard and advertise your business! Wear a tshirt that says Avon, or an Avon pin! Carry a tote bag or purse that says Avon on it or "Ask me for an Avon brochure!" People can't approach you if you aren't displaying your business!

11) HAVE FUN!!! Most importantly, when you are out prospecting customers, have fun with it! 
Smile, have a conversation! It shows that you are truely passionate about Avon and also about your customers. They want to be treated special, and since you are the Avon lady, they have come to the right person!
